Flowers perish. Memories never. They remain hidden somewhere in the dark abyss of our mind. Constantly emerging to take us back into time. Perhaps a lost love or a opportunity lost. It can recall bitter moments or feelings of happiness. You suddenly remember your childhood. That wonderful moment when you were running in a forest on a path strewn with flowers on a cold winter morning. The moment when as a child you are hurt and your mother lovingly embraced you. That delicious dish she cooked the taste of which still lingers on your tongue.The moments of humiliation and embarrassment when someone made derisive comments against you. As you grow old these memories sometimes make you laugh and sometimes make you sad. Sometimes they torture you and you wish they were never there .
