Description

And because Jack had warned Lucy to never World Walk again, she never told her siblings of her adventure, and never visited Narnia again. However, Lucy did grow up and write many books about the boy in the wardrobe. Jack, in the fullness of time, also grew up and wrote many books of what troubles he imagined might have happened had he not found Lucy and taken her home. Notes: I know nobody will understand my little parody and paradox, so here's the explanation. Clive Staples Lewis (C.S. Lewis) was born in Belfast, Ireland, on 29 November 1898. ... When his dog Jacksie was killed by a car, the four-year old Lewis adopted the name Jacksie. At first, he would answer to no other name, but later accepted Jack, the name by which he was known to friends and family for the rest of his life. (this is a true fact, I'm just reimagining that Jack once visited Narnia as a boy, hence how he got the idea to write the Narnia books) It's heart-wrenching to think of a four year old C.S. Lewis so devastated by the loss of his dog that he took the dogs name for the rest of his life. Sometimes, true life is better than any fiction I could ever imagine.

Wow!! I have read ALL the Narina books and never realised. Thankyou for sharing not only your art, but that fact. Inspiration can meet us in strange ways.

Only the part about how C.S. Lewis got his nickname is true, the rest is a fun made up fictional parody, or paradox. I just wanted to make sure that's clear. I also did a paradox for Anne McCaffery in one of my dragon stories, and one for the creator of Superman, and the Silver Surfer - it's my way of giving a passing nod to the writers that were most influential in my life.

This is wonderful - I so love your style.. And that one, tiny point of color - the candle - just nails it.

That must have been massively devastating for him. I guess he wanted his beloved pal to live through him..

It's been too long since I visited Narnia.. Once I get finished hanging around in that famous galaxy far far away, I'll have to find the portal and revisit...
