As a boy I wandered field and mountain, desert and ocean, forest and the icy reaches at the top and bottom of our world, and each place I found was another mystery waiting for me to discover. One day I found a silver doorway set into the side of a tall mountain. There were such detailed carvings of moons and planets and stars and all those things beyond our own small planet that I pulled the door open without hesitation, and within was the infinite apeirogon. I traveled the apeirogon on the back of a moonbeam I had rescued from the Land of Shadows. In time, I came to the Crystal Universe, and there I live to this day, writing of all I have seen.

I've skipped a bunch of images (from my last comment) so I at least do one current one...another beautiful black and white piece from you...I love the idea of 'star children' (a typical image from your imagination), and I love the solitude of this image. Again, great light in a sea of darkness; and that lone lamp gives the only sign of geometric-structure in the image: The road is curved and like water, almost; and Jack is once more doused in darkness, with wonderful intense highlights. "Emerging out of the night"...One gets the feeling, from this long and beautiful series, that Jack is wandering for ages, never aging yet wafting 'through' the ages, and is most at home when he's away from the eyes of others (from your idea that he's 'hunted') and at one with his infinite thoughts. Beautiful work again. These images evoke so many feelings...

it looks beautiful like this, but the light must be in a person, nice job entirely

Nicely paved road! So they don't stumble, right? Excellent work! Love the style! Well done, Wolf! Bravo!

Aren't we all Star Children? born of Star Dust and DNA?
Superb image!

Mark nailed it about your images evoking many feelings... this is just so engaging - it pulls you right into the scene with Jack.. You prove once again how much can be said with a palette of black and white. Brilliant.

All that black makes this so deep and moving.

Usually when it's an image without a story, it's because I'm exploring a plot idea. This image spawned 96 chapters spanning two books... until Covid struck and landed me in ICU with double pneumonia and brought the magic behind this image to a screeching halt. After I got home from the hospital, I just couldn't find the spark to this series again.
maneki_neko
ugh.. so you got the bug real bad.. glad you fought your way through it and came out a winner! and yeah it's true, once you interrupt a wrtitng/story or a scene/image, the spark tends to die out and you can't find it any more, happens to me almost all the time since my focus span makes gnats laugh hysterically. see, those 96 chapters - and all the others in your gallery - are magnificent, huge, impressive. also way too much for me, lmao, my will to "have a quick read" was crushed by the sheer mass of it XDDD. i was discouraged even before i started... do you have SHORT stories too? as in, i dunno, 2-3 pages and then the end?

Way back at the very beginning, the stories were short, very short, and horrible. And sad. On this one, three of the commentors are now deceased. https://www.renderosity.com/gallery/items/2451001/edge-of-the-world
maneki_neko
i agree about short, lol. nah, not horrible, just simple and quickly written - at least that one - like the stuff i also sometimes write to go with renders.. and this particular one wasn't sad. i don't think the commentors' passing was about the sadness of the story, unless it's some kinda ring thing shudder oh noes, i read it... 0_o
