I started painting as a child. Over the years I have tried many different techniques. The computer has multiplied the possibilities to create pictures.
I love to make pictures. That is my vocation, my destiny. I don't want to do anything else because it fills me with so much joy that nothing else can compare to it. I cling to each of my pictures, even the less good ones, because a piece of my soul flows into each picture.
If I have the time and I am doing well, I get up early in the morning, have breakfast and then sit down at the computer to make a picture. In my imagination the finished picture is already there and I try to get as close as possible to this imagination.
I am so focused on my work that I forget everything around me.
Sometimes I feel pain because I forget to go to the bathroom.
After a short lunch break I sit down at the computer again.
Working on an average picture can take a whole working day. Afterwards I am exhausted but still it is for the most beautiful thing in the world.

I like the extra realism that she's using her finger to read with, excellent scene. I wonder what's caught her attention?

Thank you very much! I wrote a little backstory in the comments.

Story background of the picture:
Violetta's grandparents lived on an old, former estate built in the 16th century on the remains of a much older castle. Many of the rooms had not been used for a long time. Whenever she was there, Violetta would go exploring. Sometimes she found clothes from long ago in old closets or parts of rusty armor in dark hallways. In the branching cellar vaults often lay tools from the past, whose exact purpose Violetta did not always know. Everywhere smelled musty and a thick layer of dust lay on everything. One of her favorite rooms was the old library. At least that's what Violetta called it because there were many old books on some shelves. Her grandfather would come here with her from time to time and read to her from one of the books. They were often descriptions of daily life in those times. Violetta was fascinated by the old stories and her grandfather loved to read them to her by candlelight. One afternoon Violetta went alone to the library. She rummaged through the shelves and carefully leafed through the old books. In many of the books were drawings of animals and plants. Violetta thought the drawings were beautiful and recognized many of the animals depicted. When she tried to reach one of the books on the upper shelves, she almost tripped over a book lying on the floor. She bent down and took a closer look at the book. It was very large and had ornate writing with gold letters on the cover, but most of the color had already peeled off. Violetta had difficulty lifting the heavy book onto the table. In order to look at it more closely, she lit a candle that her grandfather always used when reading aloud. The pages in the book were very brittle and some were already missing. She could only partially read the writing, but the drawings were beautiful and the colors shone like the first day. On one of the drawings Violetta thought she recognized something. The hills and the lake looked exactly like the landscape around the manor. Curious, she took a closer look at the text under the drawing: "So it is reported that here in the deep maw of the bear's cave, close to the bottom of the lake, guarded by a terrible animal, is hidden a great ... " The last words were no longer legible. Violetta was quite excited. What was hidden there, a treasure? Did the brooch on the table have something to do with it and did the cat perhaps know something?
