Description
Il Gattopardo (The Leopard) is one of the most famous and critically acclaimed historical novels of the 20th Century. It was written by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, the last in a line of Sicilian princes, after his house was bombed and pillaged by the allies in WW2. Published posthumously in 1958, it's loosely based on the life of his grandfather and chronicles the decline of the fortunes of the old aristocracy and the changes in society during the years leading up to the formation of the nation of Italy.
The leopard of the title is the heraldic emblem on the Lampedusa coat-of-arms.

Wasn’t that storyBurt Lancaster’s last film? You always show the ceiling in your images. I like your POV’s so much.

Thanks :) For this one I wanted to get some of the feel of those wildlife documentaries with the hidden camera at ground level, while showing as much of the room's ornamentation as possible.
Burt Lancaster was indeed in the film version, with Alain Delon, but it was made in 1963 so not his last one (which was Field of Dreams in 1989 with Kevin Costner).
