Well, what can I say? Brain1969's new set, Waiting Hall, is huge, gorgeous, versatile, beautifully lit, perfectly executed, well- planned and ideal for all manner of images. Yes... That should do... Seriously, it's got so much space, so much detail, that you can really play with what you're doing. For this, I added a new camera, set it to 35mm, kept depth of field off, and just let it speak for itself. The trees in the backdrop are slightly blurred, and show a little chromatic aberration, which is how you want them if you add depth of field, but also they make a PERFECT backdrop for this type of image, which I think looks a little like those that you'd get from a "toy lens" (one for the photographers out there!); exaggerated perspective, with all the old clarity "problems" us photographers spend huge amounts of money trying to avoid, only to go out and purchase a £20 lens for "nostalgia purposes". I love the look and feel of this, it's just a touch different. But... The irony is not lost on me... I absolutely love this set! Way to go Franz! Model is wearing my "oversized" t-shirt, which I may or may not put up for sale... if anyone's interested...
