Alana's Planet is still under the control of its transhuman founder, known as Alana. Alana requires that all would-be visitors submit to inspection before allowing them to visit any of its/her colonized planets, asking them to stop at one of the three orbiting stations it (or she, as some would argue) installs around its/her colonized planets. Her stations have an odd, almost organic appearance, spheres studded with spines and pyramids, with an open core lined with the windows and lights that are characteristic of human technology. Like about fifty percent of transhuman constructions, they are large, about six kilometers in diameter. The function of the spines and pyramids are unknown. It is speculated that they are weapons emplacements and sensor arrays. Alana controls a volume of about 1000 cubic light years, about average for a transhuman. Beyond that size it is believed that communication delays might cause the transhuman to fission. Within this volume, Alana has created many "art projects" that involve biological engineering, it is considered a privilege to visit any of them. All of the objects seen here were created from Vue primitives and Vue textures. Some post processing was done in GIMP and in Picasa 3 (curse google for killing it).
