Description
Building a personal idea about things is always very tiring, Knowledge requires great effort. The media, the network, social networks provide us with an easy and ready truth that we tend to accept without thinking about it. This locks good brains into golden cages and evaporates them from the sea of knowledge. He drags them like balloons in a space managed by no one knows who. "Fatti non foste a viver come bruti ma per seguir virtute e canoscenza" ("You were not made to live like beasts but to follow virtue and knowledge") so the poet Dante made Ulysses say in hell. I think we should reflect on these words.

Indeed we should. The media, the internet, has made it too easy to just accept whatever they choose to feed us. You art illustrates this very well.

Your words are full of wisdom and your art is full of challenge to view, to contemplate, and to invent your own truth about the wonderful lines and colors you observe. You are a grand artist.

Nicely done, so would this be a gilded cage or golden thoughts?

This is very MC Esher. Better to be locked up physically than have your brain in a cage....even a golden one.

When we view this image full-size, it really affirms your point. It's brilliant, Giuliano, the textures and swirls, and waves of light and shadow are brilliant. But all the heads are cut open repeatedly---they're cut into ribbons, which visualizes the numbing media and easy knowledge that surrounds us---especially in cyberspace. The space in this image reminds me of space, where cyberspace signals travel. Invisible media signals are everywhere...
But you know---you put a lot of beauty into this image. It actually has hope. Because the beautiful open-space in this image suggests a deep meditative peace. And the complex forms inside the heads suggest living tissue waiting to fill all those gaps. In other words, your image suggests that healing is very possible. (You can't avoid creating beautiful imagery, it's in your nature.) A powerful, but beautiful image. These souls are open to being filled with knowledge...there's hope in that.

Is that Einstein's famous equation in the background?
This image appears to present a vision of a multitude of minds cast adrift, intellects imprisoned by the empty though attractive facade of all external, physical phenomena -- what the Hindus call Maya. Perhaps they should direct their consciousness within -- they might be in for a great surprise. :)
