As a boy I wandered field and mountain, desert and ocean, forest and the icy reaches at the top and bottom of our world, and each place I found was another mystery waiting for me to discover. One day I found a silver doorway set into the side of a tall mountain. There were such detailed carvings of moons and planets and stars and all those things beyond our own small planet that I pulled the door open without hesitation, and within was the infinite apeirogon. I traveled the apeirogon on the back of a moonbeam I had rescued from the Land of Shadows. In time, I came to the Crystal Universe, and there I live to this day, writing of all I have seen.

Well, it's a wonderful image just as it is.... Really wonderful mood here.
I've done a little playing with animation, but jeeze..... I'd have to live to 150 to get anything useful done with the TNA story. I just spent several days watching the behind-the-scenes videos on how the folks at LucasArts did all the animations for the Clone Wars and Rebels series... Wow.. Not to mention they have a few more toys and staff than either of us.... 😉

Wellerman sea shanty tune would make an interesting theme song. You could corrupt a whole new generation of Saturday morning cartoon watchers, lol. I look forward to see how the animation storm turns out... 🐉
You can listen to different versions of the sea shanty tune on Youtube... ☠️

Good old fashioned Paint Shop Pro Animation Shop will gather and animate gif frames. You're better sticking to Adobe for liquify and other image altering. I look forward to what you finally achieve. This has so much mileage in my opinion!

It looks good as a still image, good luck with the animation, though.

So true dear Wolf! PS. All your recent images are all wonderfully done! 😊👌

rod's right about the instruments pro animators have to work with. (You know the work of Hayao Miyazaki? Somehow his full-length animated films strike me as having affinity with you...they're magical and beautiful and deal with childhood so wonderfully...)
With others, your image is beautiful as is. The sky is sensual, the light on the boat is striking, Jack is kind of in between---brights and grays, with luminous eyes. And the lines of the boat are sensual and very flowing. A sense of real light on someone during a deep-night journey. And btw, I dig that you use a ligature in your font (between the "s" and "t" of "storm"). It fits your story and your image. Very fine job on this.
