Description

this male gorilla would attack all the other gorillas, so they put him in his own habitat. he also liked to fool children. the kids would be up against a glass window and he would pretend to leave. right after moving out of sight he would return quickly and hit the glass. not only scared the kids but the mothers also. another male gorilla scaled a very tall wall somehow and was running loose in the zoo. unfortunately the police shot and killed him before he hurt anyone sorry about the quality, but the window was very nasty and scratched

I have gone off zoos, they are the modern equivalent of people being taken around the old Bedlam mad house... Still, at the rate gorillas are being killed he may be one of the lucky ones, only he doesn't know it.

He really looks sad, the picture is nevertheless beautiful. It would be necessary that the zoo finds a solution better adapted for him !!!

Ah, the eternal problem of windows and fences to take beautiful pictures, you have to take pictures all the time, and still we are not sure to have usable ones, but now with the digital it is possible. For the moment no photos the ZOOS are closed in France, I am afraid that some will not recover from this damn COVID. Your gorilla is beautiful, I love his look. Thanks for sharing.

He looks so sad. No wonder he rages against the glass. I feel so sad for him. These magnificent animals were never meant to be caged.

You captured so much personality in his face, Richard. It's almost as if he's saying "I know I'm bad, but I can't help myself.."

This reminds me so much of a video I saw not long ago. It was a demonstration of how they converted actor Andy Sirkis' face into Ceaser the chimp from the last "Planet of The Apes" movie. He also played "Gollum" in "Lord Of The Rings."

this one is not the one that was killed. when the zoo got this fellow, he was quite young. they was hoping he would mate and they could have gorilla babies
