Over the years that I've been commenting in your magical gallery, I've seen how you capture small objects with love. You 'showcase' them gently, as if presenting them as gifts. These two pine cones are simple pine cones, yet their rich oranges and browns make them stand out against the cooler browns of the leaves and soil. And you present them as if they posed for you---esp the right-side pine cone, because it's on an angle, as if it sat-up for your camera. A gentle, affectionate shot---so typical of your macro nature photography.
