Description
we are having a late cold front with forecasted lows in the mid 30's. I have been getting bids for my roof to be replaced. there was lots of hail damage. my current roof was done by a man that worked for me when I was working. I purchased 30 year Timberline shingles and one bundle is much heavier than the regular shingles. he carried all of the bundles up by his self and installed all. tragic that he could not beat drinking and he was in comas several times spending weeks in hospitals. he did not heed the warnings of this doctors and continued to drink . he died not long after being in the last hospital. another friend that I had for so many years was drinking too much beer. he returned to Mexico and the only job he could get was working in a small cantina. he could not afford beer there and he was drinking cheap tequila. it killed him putting him a coma that he did not recover from

Alcohol is just as addictive and deadly as any other drug when it's over-used. Never been much of a drinker myself beyond a bit of (good) wine or a bit of a good bourbon every now and then for a special occasion.

Wow, heavy story about those friends/fellow workers who drank. And Tequila---man, too much of that, esp in the heat, and one is done for. Alcohol can be so nice once in a while, and in real moderation...but in excess, it's deadly. Good luck with the work you're doing on your place.
