Description
Entering the Emperor's Inner Sanctum
Summoned to the Imperial Palace by Sovereign Emperor Frederick III, Polonius and Penelope are escorted into the Inner Sanctum by one of the Emperor's personal bodyguards, an Emissary. Polonius is amazed by the vast, open-air chamber. Ornately carved stone archways, buttresses, pillars and stairs frame a deep pool of still water. A breeze drifts through the intertwined hallways. Leaves of ivy clinging to the walls gently shake. Crimson banners adorned with gold filagree hanging from iron posts slowly sway and twist. A hushed stillness seems to seep into the air from the silent stone around him. There is great power in this ancient place.
