Description
How she hates seeing him go to war.
I was the daughter of a warrior in his own right. He was fighting in Italy when I was born, in Korea when I was in high school, and in Vietnam when I graduated from college. Each time I saw him leave and was old enough to know what might happen, it just froze me. He made it home with just a blown ear drum only to slowly fade and die of Alzheimer's at the age of 83. I guess it's true what they say, "Old Soldiers Never Die, They Just Fade Away".

This is such wonderful scene, Linda. I like how they are solemnly and silently communicating with one another. Lighting is great and their attires came out so well.

Even before I read your words, I could see the worry and the pain in the actual artwork. I now understand where the inspiration came from. Beautiful artwork and tribute!

It was. Also, we moved around so much that I went to four different high schools. I’d lived in both Germany and Italy by the time I was in first grade. There were some perks. The year he was stationed in Washington DC I spent lots of weekends in the museums and art galleries.

A beautiful creation with a lot of feeling behind it. And when I read your message I understand it completely.
