Description
"I've administered his medication, Dr. Liddell."
"Excellent, Nurse Kaia. Your idea to slip it into his tea was nothing short of brilliant."
"Thank you, Doctor. Just a little trick we learned with the ANZACs during the war. It seems that as long as we appear to play his game, he remains compliant."
"Keep in mind that our patient Mister Hattersley, to the best of our knowledge, is not a combat veteran, nor do we know precisely what has triggered his psychosis," Dr. Liddell reminded the Kiwi nurse who was rapidly becoming her protogee.
"Of course, Doctor. He still unable to distinguish between his delusions and his physical perceptions, and this type of defense mechanism can be triggered any number of ways."
"Really?" asked Dr. Liddell, casually. "Wherever did you learn that?"
Nurse Kaia grinned. "From a text book titled, Delusional Psychoses: Case Studies....by one Doctor Alice Liddell-Dodgson."
Dr. Liddell nodded in approval. "I shall make a psychiatrist of you yet."
