Description
It took me a few hours to do this. I had to reinstall Photoshop and I never got any of it exactly right, but I wanted to mark this night. It's been one of the most fulfilling ever. I had guidance from higher worlds all night, there were ups and downs but it's a beautiful morning and everything is going to be okay. This is Graylyn, female lead of my novel "The Artic Circle". It's "The Breakfast Club" meets "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" meets "Metropolitan" meets "The Big Chill" meets "Around the World in 80 Days". Graylyn and her friends have just graduated from Easton Academy, a school for the children of the rich here in Chicago. Before she goes on to attend the School of the Art Institute (and before her boyfriend Drake heads on to rehab), she and four more of her friends from the upper 10 percent who control 90 percent of the world's wealth are going on a trip to see the Picassos in the great museums of Europe and America. It winds up being the wildest emotional rollercoaster of their lifetimes.
This is an amazing, magical process for me because I have very vivid ideas of these characters, but it's only after I illustrate them that I can see how they're supposed to fit into the world.

It is always difficult to merge a render with a real photo background. Shadows and light intensity are everything. Interesting work.
