Description

The hulking clank called "Fat Bob" led the small party to the river inlet adjoining Darkstar Engineering and Discovery, Ltd. "Teh Gov'ner 'ad a great interest in matters aquatic fer a time," the clank stated. "Be'old 'is submersible!" It gestured to the low, dark shape. "Submersible?" Lilja asked. "You mean that iron monstrosity can be operated beneath the surface of a body of water?" "I've never been privy ter a ride in it, yer ladyship, but it'd be me undertandin' thet's exackly 'ow it works. Teh Gov'ner took it out ter sea many times over teh years. 'E took only a couple a crew. Don't need much in teh way a guidin'. It's really a big clank wit' a lotta savvy what kin guide itself. Not so savvy as yers truly, though." Fat Bob laid his metal index finger alongside the vestigial nose on his metal head. Lilja chuckled at the ungainly clank's prideful boast. "So Uncle Ebenezer was interested in manipulating time somehow and also oceanography. There's so much about him I have yet to learn." "Oh, we ain't nearly done wit' ter tour, yer ladyship," Fat Bob said. "Foller me!" Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered with Poser 12.0.484 using the Superfly Cycles 2 rendering engine. The mesh is La Femme with the new Lilja texture by Tempesta3D. The hair is Matuk by Afrodite-Ohki. The costume is Dark Aurora by RPublishing and Ravenhair. The setting is partly the Steampunk Harbor by Blue Tree Studios and a lot of other bits and bobs. The clanks are the Guardian by Jonnte and Fat Bob by Simon 3D. The submersible is MM Nautilus by Mike2010 and Mausel. The Steamboat is by 1971s. It's easiest to follow the story (if you like) at DeviantArt. Cool steampunk setting you've assembled here! Hopefully she's going to invite Fat Bob along for a test ride, so he can more fully check out the "really big clank" :-)

I'm giving myself all sorts of room for stories and I think good ol' Fat Bob will figure into lots of them. If nothing else, I have a great time trying to imagine his accent and then capture it in text.😜

You've created an alternate reality here that's very fun to look at. Nice work!

Thank you for taking a moment to let me know you enjoyed what I've done here. I take a lot of time with background environments for my characters and it's great you agree!😃
