Description
As ALWAYS, thank YOU so much for stopping by and taking the time to share my visions! Your generous thoughts truly mean the world to me!!
But, as I’m sure ya’ll know by now, if it weren't for nonsense, I'd have no sense at all!!
A Kiss for luck, and he’s on his way. Axel will take the Child* down to the bus stop and then go on to work at the Mattress Testing Facility**. (Dang Bussing project to integrate the various Fairyland species! As if a petit little dryad teacher is gonna be able to stop a 4-year-old Ogre Rage! Let alone a 9th grader! But the City Council knows all***. They’re setting themselves up to be voted out or assassinated, depending on whether their positions are Electoral or Hereditary. Axel, though mostly a mild-mannered Ogre, is secretly hope for assassination.) The Child, at 4 years of age, has yet to decide the path to follow. Mom’s passionate, if flighty and frolicsome, fae heritage or Dad’s big strong, stoic but none-too-bright example.
The Pixels are dismayed to fine themselves out-side (SHUDDER!!!), yet again. And not only outside, but far, far, far beyond walking distance to the nearest pub. Not that they WOULD walk. Pixels are Uber’s best customers. Well, no, due to the number of declined cards, we can’t really claim BEST, but they are certainly the most frequent. The Child thought the pixels were especially tasty and excelled at hoovering them out of the bark of the trees, logs and other assorted hiding places. Naturally, due to the elevated alcohol content of the average Pixel, the Child Yucked them back up before digestion. St Pixel’s Memorial Hospital and Pool Hall reports a modicum of success with rehabilitating the recovered Pixels.

What a wonderful family scene! I hope the Child doesn't need Alcoholics Anonymous after eating so many pixels!

I think a Pixel would taste terrible anyway, like a chunk of food coloring :D What fun and everyone looks great! And that house is just the cutest thing ever!

Fabulous awesome composition and render, gorgeous, deep funny story. Impressive the blending of joy and bitterness, story fits like glove the composition. Magnificent Masterpiece of Finest Arts. I love it!

I think those pixels got into the last loaf of bread we kept around for 6 months... They certainly did an interesting coloring job on it... LOL
And yeah... Where would we be without the wisdom of the City Council, and all those other idio...... uhhh....... I mean highly qualified "leaders" of our society.. (probably a lot better off both financially and in every other possible way...). But I'm sure the little Ogre will receive a fine education - assuming he doesn't make a quick snack out of the teacher..
I tried out for a job at the local mattress testing facility once, but I couldn't find the controls to change the little sleep numbers.... LOL
Fun render and story as always!

"if it weren't for nonsense, I'd have no sense at all!!" :-) Love that statement!!! Fantastic!
The scene is really well done and, together with the accompanying story, out of the ordinary, something you're famous for :-) Now, how about founding 'Pixels Anonymous' ;-) It might help them in the near and distant future. There is a lovely 4TB hard disc nearby which might be the ideal premises :-)
Keep up the good work!
PS: thanks for all your lovely comments in 'my neck of the woods' ;-)

Fun scene! But she better be careful of those teeth or the kiss could be unlucky indeed! Baby Beast always looks primed for trouble, so good luck to Axel and the pre-school teacher ;-)

First of all, I haven't thought about Lil Abner and his job in an eon. Boy that takes me back...Second, I love your narrative, and I love the image. Great 1940s hollywood fairytale kiss, love the posture on the woman (forgive me for not knowing all the characters---when you're on RR on-and-off, you lose some of the threads along the way: if you named her here, I didn't associate the name with the woman...yet...). I love how she leans into him, and that great bride-of-frankenstein hair. Also love the stuff around---an aladdin's lamp in gold light, those two huge acorns (great lanterns), that great old wooden door, the huuuuge log on the left (with the child---in delightful blue), the small bicycle, and so on. Each 'bunch' of stuff is scintillatingly lit, and the enclave of the door makes one want to go inside. As always, your images should be seen full size, for all your detail, light, etc. Delightful work---I love how the log is cut off on the end (left side). And the pink pot with a young tree. But that great kissing pose is out of a 1940s romantic comedy: great pose on them. Wonderful work as always.

I love your commentary and this is a really enjoyable work. Thanks for posting.

I remember all the pixels being on the edge of their bar stools, down at the pub and watching a special pool championship game. The famous one eyed Greybreard pixel of legend vs the up and coming pistol Pete pixel. Many amber pixels were consumed in the river of alcohol that flowed that day. Many pixel tears were shed, never to be seen again. Some say that in another dimension, a great raging river of pixel regrets flows into a toxic cosmic sea of anti pixel pain... ;)
