Description

From time to time, the weird bit of randomness in my head that I call a brain decides to try to replicate pieces of historical art. Of course, my brain is also lazy and doesn't want to be bothered with getting every detail the same. So... this one is based on a not-particularly-well-known 17th century Spanish painting by Bartolome Esteban Murillo. The original hangs in the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC, and always grabs my attention. https://www.nga.gov/collection/art-object-page.1185.html The dresses aren't quite right, but that's where some of the laziness kicked in. The draped cloth on the head of the chaperone, though... man, it's a lot harder to do a 3D model of draped cloth than to paint it.

I new the original painting ( I was Art teacher ) and I have seen the original one 5 or 6 years ago in Washington DC. Difficult challenge, but you succeeded with the compo and the lighting, even if the young girl is a bit different.
