When I was a little girl, I could see Dragons. That's how I chose my name here at Renderosity. (Sometimes I can still see them.)
I have been an artist and a writer all my life - and have worked in acrylic on canvas as well as watercolor. I was best known for my watercolors of dream creatures - especially for my Dream Birds. Lots of my art and writing has been found in dreams.
In May of 2000, I did my first 3D picture on the computer. And I was hooked.
My Underground Shaman series - takes off where my 2D work left off. The faces of animals, human, and not-so-human always fascinate me and I like to use them as stylized motifs to create mandalas full of textures, patterns, colors and emotions.
With the internet, I discovered, that while some people make art to look at, I like to make art that looks at YOU! :-)
The Underground Shamans are Wise Ones from many worlds, realms, and dimensions. In mid-2002 the Dragon Fae also began appearing to humans - they are an interesting race, well-traveled, and good talkers.
My computer and software are now ancient, but they and my imagination are still working at the moment - more or less (as of August 2021)

(I just commented on the 1st of your album...I was pleased to see that I'd commented on the other 2 already, as they were wholly worth it...) Your textures are like rusted bronze, that grainy green texture you get on bronze as it discolors, etc. You use it very effectively, incl on the belltower wall. The shaman's face is striking white, by contrast. And I love those trees in the background---they're like huge, fairy-tale mushrooms. This is a dusk image, in an in-between time; and it feels very primal, like water is just beyond the horizon, where it originates. Your totem-like shamans evoke a primal sense; and we think, if we get to know the shaman well enough, the face will beam and reveal their secrets for us. Love that headdress (good choice)...Another of your visions that engage without explaining, and draw us into all kinds of mysteries. Strange, gentle and beautiful.

Very cool image and a great idea to group them in albums... ;)

She's very intriguing, inscrutable. Do like her face and her garb is lovely. The soft colors of her environment work very well with her and don't compete with her singular importance. Yes, humans have a way of mucking up things and realize their folly only when it's too late to rectify bad situations. Climate change comes to mind.

A very intriguing character. You do some wonderfully creative work. Excellent.

A fascinating and most surrealistic masterpiece! Most exquisite work! Bravo and many fine praises from me!

Another important message behind these wonderful images. I still get the feeling no one is taking the climate change that seriously. A few wise Shamans might be the only hope we have left to rescue this planet. Love those ears :-)

I like the mushroom trees and old world look to this scene. Your Shaman also look to be wise and projects a feeling calm. Oh, sadly the people of that world would not listen to their Shaman, if only we could learn from their mistake!
hashdoc
very nice idea and realisation!
