Description
Ok. For Steve (eekdog).
FIRST:
This guy has great, photo-studio-quality wild and wonderfully creative images! The first thing everyone notices is probably his models: But he gets setups and poses and situations that jump off the screen. His Rock pieces---ie, music---are concert Poster material. His macabre pieces are terrifically dark, creepy, wildly funny and creative; and he works with dark light like a pro-photographer. (He's gotta have an ISO of about 2 million...) He makes carnivals out of whatever he's got at hand: furniture, floors, walls, city-scapes, whatever; and studio photographers would die to get the kinds of ideas Steve comes up with in an average upload.
Then there's his COLOR:
MAN this guy does color! I'm talkin' eye popping, knockout hues---and subtle ones too, incl ones that stand out in darkness. (Even his signature is terrific.) And he has color themes, as in palettes. And great outfits. And terrific cartoons. (I included a cartoon above, in his honor.)
Finally---as you all know---he's a truly kind and caring person, he gives love to everyone, affirms, holds, cares, soothes when you're down...and he's been through a ton; yet he never fails to hold people and give them love and strength and hugs even when he's struggling, himself.
Steve, you're the best! I hope your next year is a WHOLE lot better than the last...and I wish you health, happiness, wholeness and inspiration (though that last one you already have in droves). Happy birthday brother, and many more, and may heaven smile down on you always---you deserve it and more! Have a great one now and always! m

This is a perfect dedication to Steve... everything from the "dog" to the red, warm coloring. He's a warm and caring man and I wish him a wonderful year. All these dedications are done with care and thoughtfulness, because you are a pretty good guy, too, Mark.

You absolutely nailed it, Mark! Steve's one of the very first folks to make me feel welcome over 10 years ago when I first signed on at Rendo. He's been there ever since. And he is an amazing artist. His magazine covers beat the living daylights out of about 98% of the magazines out there in the "real" world. His sense of design is a whole lot better than some of the "professionals" getting paid good money.
And you're right - he's a truly caring person and a good friend. Happy Birthday, Steve, and what a magnificent triple-blast of stunners, Mark! You rock, sir!
