you never cease to surprise me, Barb, I don't know when I've seen something of yours where I didn't feel totally surprised by its freshness and newness. This woman, on close inspection, is a cat woman: You've given her leopard-like skin (or other feline) and a tail. At first I thought the tail was part of the sword, but it looks like her tail---which makes her even more of a cat-woman. I love her toeless shoe-sock-leggings too. (Kudos to Ute for the prototype.) (Or model. I know nothing about these matters!) I love how you wrapped the tail around the spear, and you have an actual cat there---small, cute, but probably fierce...And then---a real surprise! The storm is below, not above---she must be on a major peak, 'cause the clouds are below her, as if from a plane-window. Reminds me of Richard's many plane photos. The lightning falls down on them. (Ok, some linear-stuff---the line of the peak meets the lines of the clouds, as does the sword; and the birds make an opposite "v".) Another visual moment from a very complex world, love the hues, the cat-lady, her tail, and your above-the-clouds view. I know your days aren't always easy, yet it's always amazing how free your imagination regardless of anything. Mysterious and delectable.

A beautiful and dynamic creation...I like how the background goes from peaceful sunny to tumultuous stormy. The little cub is the perfect companion for this cat lady :)
