Been a long LONG while.
This was taken at Dragstalga 2019. At Santa Pod Drag Strip, a retired RAF / USAF Airbase.
It is now Europe's and one of the world's fastest. Normally (ha!), cars and drivers come from all over.
Dragstalga is a classic car dragster day. Not older than a certain date. Nice!
'Metamorphosis' is a rather nice example. Caught heaving itself off the line, not the best way actually, wheels down better. But for fans more fun & better photos!

Looks to me like a Pinto hatchback (1976 ?) vs. in this lane a Camaro coupe (1967 ?) Expect thinwall V-8 vs. smallblock. The reversed cowl induction hood scoops smack of Smokey Yunick and the trunk lip spoiler is TRANSAM. Wheelie bars? and wrinkle walls? on the Camaro subcompact with V-8 added vs. pony car. Oh! Ford vs. Chevy

Thanks Rob for the dedication. I just saw you replied to my note... WOW, great to reconnect after almost 4 years! Dragsters are great fun to watch...always expecting the driver to lose control and smack the wall. Nice action photography...well done.
