Description
So this is some Spiderman type of outfit I bought from somewhere obscure around the interwebs.
This is the first time I looked at the lighting in a final render and said, "Yes. That's exactly what I wanted to see."
Of course, I didn't do it. It came with the city set.
So I looked at how the creator set up the lights because I always want this kind of realism.
Best I can tell...it's not IBL or HDRI or mesh-lights or ghost lights or infinite lights or anything. It's simply setting the longitude/latitude and what not in the render settings to simulate actual real world time and daylight. I don't understand all the settings I'm looking at, but I would have never guessed that this is how it was done.
Needless to say I will be playing around with these settings more.

Thanks!

The Sun settings! You have to kind of guess where the sun is but I like 11 AM June 1st at lat 35 if you want sort of overhead light. The late afternoon times have a nice reddening of the light, too. I suspect they are secretly Terragen's old atmo /sunlight settings :D
This looks great, I love all the fun textures Stonemason puts in these, though I do end up deleting a lot because it's a lot of polys.
