The plan was to have Chiana introduce the new girl, Linda, in Merlin's Tea Garden setting. Unknown to me, the girls had met prior to this and, let’s just say, it appeared they hit it off like dynamite! We got out to the site and it was almost impossible to keep them apart, with Linda being aggressive and Chiana not even resisting. I began worrying what Soon-Li’s reaction would be, since she and Chiana had hit it off during the Face-Off shoot, and spent a lot of time together. Chiana assured me Soon-Li ‘was okay with it’. But something just didn’t feel right; Chiana wasn’t really the type to just ‘jump into’ anything intimate at the drop of a hat. Meeting Linda just prior to coming out to the site for the shoot hadn’t given Chiana enough time to get to know Linda, surely nowhere near the amount of time as she and Soon-Li had spent together. Was there something going on I wasn’t aware of?
