Nim reviewed the meeting in his head. No one had been allowed to take notes. They were depending on him to remember. He wouldn’t forget, but it had been a long meeting and if he had to piece it all together, it would take time. A lot had been discussed. The man who’d burnt Ti had been an immortal, though no one knew who he was, except he was the same man Nim drew when he got upset. It disturbed Nim that this man was real but he had no memory of him. He never forgot anything. Sapphire’s parents had been living in Illia to spy on both Sen-gan and Baj-tisk. They’d told Kamlia about the spell on Remtani. Kamlia had purposely cut the cord on Remtani's bracelet to destroy the spell as a distraction so he could get away. And he hoped to get access to the gate. The advisor Kamlia had brought had also been an immortal. He’d arranged for Sapphire’s parents to poison Ann. Bremul had just been in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was the one to encourage the idea of Remtani and Jaidu getting married. He believed, like many other immortals, that with the immortal blood that ran in the royal family and Jaidu’s dragon blood, another white wyrm could be created. Ann had gotten upset at that and Drepal had woken, revealing she was not only part of Ann, but also part immortal. Thailyn then suggested that she might be related to Nim’s mentor. He said Chapado and Darina looked enough alike to be sisters. Thailyn confessed to having a bad heart while talking about Darina’s death. Rejenn thought the death and much of the trouble Ann had growing up was orchestrated by an immortal. They believed Kortu might be involved since he’d hid much of what Remtani had done to Ann. And he’d told Shunati that Emeton had said to hide Ann’s dragon half but Emeton hadn’t been aware of it. It was shared that Andy, Nim, and Dae were augmenters. Because Andy’s abilities differed from the others some, Thailyn worried he might have immortal blood. He believed if Andy was fully human, their baby would be fine, but if he was part immortal, the child might have problems. It was suggested a group go to Earth to see what they could learn about Andy’s birth father. Nim sighed and closed his eyes. The meeting had been the first time he’d been out of bed since the surgery. Although he’d been sitting the whole time, he was worn out. He needed to sleep, though he suspected his dreams wouldn’t be pleasant.
