Description
The quiet is slowly returning to the Ohio River Valley. It has been near deafening for the past few weeks. But, as annoying as they are, I will definitely miss the little yodelers. I am already looking forward to the year 2038, when they return again to disrupt my little part of the world.

Oh, I love this! Her expression is great! I've not really heard them so far, although this is supposed to be a banner year in their cycle.
Reminds me of when I was a kid - I think it was 5th grade - I caught one of the annual ones at recess, and hid him in a cigar box I kept my marbles in. During class, the teacher gave us a homework assignment, and as she did I reached into that box and grabbed the cicada. It let out a blood-curdling screech that had the whole class in an uproar! The girls were squealing, and the boys were laughing. Got in a little trouble for that one!

I love this, brilliant!!! I am listening to the little critters now, I have to say that I adore them though. I find it comforting, I associate them with summer and I love summer. Now those buzzing mosquitos on the other hand are quite annoying lol
