The last robin I can remember was in our backyard tugging mightily at a worm that was fighting its way into the soil. So determined was the robin that it didn't even notice my passing with two yards. I have no idea who won the battle. This was forty years ago. I haven't seen a robin since.

That would have been a fun fight to watch. There are still many of them here in Alaska, nesting every summer. I love watching and listening to them.
