Hailey is taking a quick shelf by shelf inventory and finds the task might be less arduous than her first impression. Most of these large old volumes are just bindings and imitations at that. People bought them in quantity to fill up old bookshelves to make them look impressive. Still some real books mixed in, make a note of where they are. Hailey is feeling more comfortable as time goes on. Strange that the smell of the room seems so familiar, but then don't collections of old books sort of smell the same?
