Description

Associated with an aphrodisiac, though literally meaning "beautiful woman", the berries themselves are rather poisonous, but contain Atropin (amongst other things), which enlarge eyes which sometime in the past ....ehemmmm... made women look more beautiful. Still, there are medical uses in ophthalmology. But I'd stick with the literal meaning.
