JohnnyM made me think of an alternative end to this series when he wrote the following: Oh no! How can that be!...the captain had it all under control! The alarms were going off but he was so certain he could handle the situation at hand. He had read all the training manuals and taken all precautions to prevent this from happening! What went wrong? This has got to be a dream sequence where the captain wakes up and realizes it was all a dream! Bill tell me this image is not true and I am not seeing the Titanic go down like this because of a comment made! I am going to close my eyes now and hopefully in the next render I will see the captain waking up from a much needed nap and realize everything is OK! You did an awesome job with this render Bill! Now go do another render and please have the captain wake up from his nap! I thank you for always making your renders so fun, but I feel bad about this outcome! I would like to believe that there was a life raft for everyone on board! This feels like an episode from the Twilight Zone! Once again Thank you buddy! :-) Okay, everyone! Fasten your seat belts cause here we go! The smug Captain retired for a nice little nap knowing in his mind this ship was the best one every built! So fine a ship that even God couldn't sink it, or so he thought. But he forgot one little thing, God doesn't care what little teeny tiny little humans think when it comes to natural disasters. He will let them occur no matter how might the teeny tiny humans think they are. So the captain wakes up to the sounds of all the claxons and other alarms going off and the loudspeakers blaring 'everyone to the life boats and rafts!' 'Oh dear!' he says to himself. This just has to be a very bad dream. This can't be happening to me and this magnificent indestructible ship!' Just then, there is a might lurching as the entire ship lurches from one end to the other. The Captain runs to the control room and looks out the forward window and can't believe what he sees. The ship is raising up out of the water. How can this be. Well, we know what has happened don't we, viewing public. Lucky for this version of the Titanic, Superman happened to be flying over and spotted the trouble before it got any worse. He quickly flew down under the ship and raised it out of the water before it could sink any further. Then, with his mighty super powers, he quickly flew it to the nearest port where he set it down in front of a pier. Of course, this was a very rural port and not very deep, but he wanted to stick it into the mud far enough so it wouldn't tip over and so salvage crews would be able to work on it to repair the damage without any danger to them. An unloading dock was quickly assembled and trundled down to the ship so everyone could disembark as rapidly as possible. Everyone was so relieved at not perishing out at sea that they followed all orders and an orderly evacuation of the ship ensued. Meanwhile, on the upper deck, Superman has corned the Captain and has some words with the smug sob. Words are exchanged and before Superman can stop himself, he bitch slaps the Captain for putting the ship into this precarious position and almost causing the loss of so many lives. The Captain finally realized what danger he has caused by his smug attitude and gives Superman a huge apology. Superman flies him down to the pier where the Captain gives everyone else a huge apology as they leave the ship. Of course the ship line will reimburse everyone for this scare and any damages that may have occurred to their personal property. As to the Captain, I think his next job might be shoveling coal into the burners of the next steamship he serves on. End of Story. Thank you JohnnyM! Thank you for taking a peek!
