Description
What you are looking is, really, nothing close to a sphere at all. Any ideas on how I made this? (I'll most a comment here in a couple days with the explanation.)

There is really nothing to ask. The sphere is a blue marble with reflection maybe, and the plane is a maybe deformed, subtracted blue marble. The sphere could be a glass too! But I like this...

It is the top view of the inside of a vase, with a local light put in the vase. No spheres, planes used at all.
