Description
Happy Bikini Day to one and all! July 5, 2021 is the seventy-fifth anniversary of the introduction of the bikini by designer Louis Réard. An honorable mention goes to Micheline Bernardini who bravely modelled a garment then considered scandalous. It was noisily condemned by The Vatican! Brigitte Bardot and the late Marilyn Monroe helped to make it acceptable, indeed sought-after, by wearing it in public. The rest is history.
