Description
Thanks for looking and comments, and thanks for the sympathy for my pc.
My computer is still hanging on. I'm not getting a new one until I have to. This one is over 15 years old, so it really is time, though.
Made in GIMP with photos, png tubes and brushes. Content from pixabay.

Its Gollum looking for his precious? A very scary character and excellent render! Well done!

(15 years? Wow! In computer years, that's OLD! I have one from 2011---it's a backup---and I have to put quarters in whenever I use it. You must have a magic touch, if it's still working for you. There should be an award for that...) Love the creature, and love how you've posed him: Looks lunging, but as if he suddenly stopped himself---mid-lunge---to greet that butterfly. Fierce creature mollified by a delicate butterfly. Really well done, barb. I love his posture, it's really expressive. And you've surrounded the two by a lush set of grasses and shrooms, and a thick set of tall-grasses and trees---in autumnal colors. Or August colors. (How does he get his hair that color? Mine's silver---if you know the hair coloring he uses, send me the name...) A warm, touching image, very sensitively done. Best of luck with your computer. If you retire the present one---and you have a ceremony---post a snapshot. All the old peripherals---old hard drives, flash drives, floppies, etc---will come to pay their respect. Sorry this happened. It's a royal pain. (I've actually screamed at my computer, "i slaved and slaved and slaved for you, and this is the thanks I get..." It's very emotional...)

Oh, I do hope he's not going to eat the butterfly... fly away butterfly. Awesome scene.

It's so common for folks to equate the appearance of someone to their inner personality's qualities. Nicely done scene and good luck with the ol' 'puter :)

Realy beautiful scene. They seem to found the best friend each other. Older ones may last longer. My vacuum cleaner is more old, but it is still powerful.

Fantastic image! So well done!

I think he must be Smeagol's long lost cousin.... Really outstanding work on this scene, Barb! Those older machines can still be pretty capable, and you've certainly shown that with this amazing image.
My main Photoshop machine is around the same age, but still going strong. I've only had to rebuild it once (so far 😁).

Excellent!
KarmaSong
A superb inspiration and fantastic render of this scene, featuring your own version of the Gollum or so it seems .

Cool image, I'm looking from the butterflies pov, lol. You say the pc is 15 years old, wow, at least it was reliable. If you do get a new one, even if its not too expesive, you will be amazed at how fast some things have become in the last fifteen years... ;)

OMG, it's about time to get a new one dear Barb in the near future, concerning your funny image I bet that he's Gollum's older brother - Smile!
