Showing off a 3D model made by my good friend William Hunter.

A Japanese-style club called a Tetsubo. I added shaders, but he also put together a pretty nice material set for it. It was made in Blender, and we haven't quite figured out how to make iray content yet. BUT! Just had to show it off. I'll be doing a series showing off all the models he's made for me so far.
The G8F is CO Reine, wearing the "Deadly Whisper" outfit. Hair is from Sarah Payne. SP 011, I think.
EDIT: I almost forgot to mention. I placed a plane behind the camera, tilted at an angle and applied a mirror shader to it. This seemed to do the trick of bringing a little light to her face without creating a new spotlight/emmisive. I think if I played with the angle more I could get it even better, but the goal was to show off the Tetsubo, and I already had that WITHOUT the mirror. (Still, her face was almost completely shadowed before I added it.)
I might have to play around with this trick some more. Always looking for new ways to light a scene.

Nice. Boxing her in a corner with great textures provides a ton of ambience with less resources. We had a similar weapon concept in one of our business locations in a dangerous locale. Called it the A**e Tamer. Options without bullets....

Thank you. Originally I had it made for a Witch/Fae huntress. The project shifted. I still got my renders, but I'd want to massively redo them before sharing. Still, gotta show off my buddy's work!

They were certainly an effective weapon in their time. This model was based off of historical references.

Nicely done! But it would be better to use an emissive on the plane and tweak that, size and strength. It will speed up the render time, a reflective needs more calculations.

Yeah, that's how I would usually do it. I actually have a second plane (turned off) that was emmisive, but I liked how this looked better.
