For all the romance associated with flowers, they really are primal little beasts! Great light on this: The yellow rims of the petals are like lights: They're lit up. And those deep crimson-red petals really contrast beautifully. The stamen is 100% primal flower-stuff. Primal beauty, Richard. You caught it in all its raw other-worldly presence.
