really brings back memories of the 57 Chevy (first car) I had, but the 55 Chevy (third) I had afterwards really made a permanent memory
I was listening to a pilot that flew the North American X-15 This aircraft has the current world record for the fastest manned aircraft. Its maximum speed was Mach 6.70 (about 7,200 km/h) which it attained on the 3rd of October 1967 .
He mentioned that the X 15 was not allowed any weapons or bombs. some of the pilots of US fighter jets would tease the X 15 pilots about it.
The X15 pilot went to a club where the Jet Fighter pilots would hang out after missions. when he walked into the club a pilot asked him what he had been doing. He replied I just done Nebraska in 41/2 minutes. He then said that is the best way to do Nebraska (joke)

Nice capture, and that's a great story about the X-15.

The Right Stuff is a great and somewhat under-rated film, imho, can you imagine the rockets if they'd got in to space around the time of these cars, would have been some cool stuff

Superb shot my friend !!

It is true that at the wheel of such a beautiful car you must feel like the king of the world. Everyone must be turning around in your path. Wonderful picture.

Yes, the ‘57 Chevy inspires imaginary thoughts of flaming jet wash coming from beneath the tall lights while 50 cal rounds are released from the hood. Well done difficult shot.

I agree! Best to leave Nebraska in the dust! LOL! Nothing but bad experiences in that state!

This is a very fine capture indeed Richard. Love the car!

another sensual sweeping shot of these old cars, from you. Love the lines and the curves, this is a radiating pulsing shot. And that cream color on the cars---mixed with that deep red. And I think there's someone in the front seat of the center-most car: That's a guy with a hat on! (I assume he's not a statue.) Wonderfully rich interior (the museum), and those cars...you got their sweeping chrome-edged glory.

These gorgeous ladies will always have torn apart men's hearts. Unbelievable beauty. Thank you for sharing, my dear Richard.

And a portrait of the 'KIng' to spice up that bumper. A very cool capture.

Very interesting shot of this wonderful rolling madness (if you think to environmental consequences of the huge fuel consuption). Of course the wideangle shot exaggerates the length of the trunk, nevertheless this cab is an impressive one.
