Description
Neferneferuaten Nefertiti (/ˌnɛfərˈtiːti/) (c. 1370 – c. 1330 BC)
Her name means 'Beautiful are the beauties of Aten, a beautiful woman has come.'
She was a queen of the 18th Dynasty of Ancient Egypt. Nefertiti was the Great Royal Wife of Pharaoh Akhenaten. Nefertiti and her husband were known for a religious revolution, in which they worshiped one god only, Aten, or the sun disc. With her husband, she reigned at what was arguably the wealthiest period of Ancient Egyptian history.
I modeled this likeness after her famous bust which is in the Berlin Egyptian Museum. She is holding a Papyrus plant, a symbol of knowledge.
