Her Aunt from back East was coming to visit. Her mother fixed up her hair and had her wear her Sunday best dress. The house had been in their family for several generations. They had sold off a lot of the houseshold goods. The wallpaper was starting to fade and peel. Through her eyes it was just home. A place where they had always been happy. They had once been a wealthy family. They may not be wealthy but they are still have their pride. She didn't understand exactly what was going on with the adults, but she knew the visit from the Aunt was not going to be a pleasant one. Her Aunt was trying to persuade her parents to sell her the estate. She had wanted it in her control for years.
