Description
Although normally nocturnal, this brazen bandit has been eating well during late afternoons....
Having read that nursing mother raccoons will feed during the day
to boost their milk supply. I have not been able to detect anything
which might resemble that fact... seems timid, but I saw it chasing
a wild bunny across the back yard after eating seeds..

That position is fantastic! This is wonderful photo.

Though I know, that they can pretty much be a load (or for some even a pest) I'd love to have Raccoons in our country. They are clever, inteligent and soooo cute (mho)

Great capture of this thief!
Honestly, I don't care much for raccoons anymore. They are cute, but they're such pests. I've had to chase them out of my attic several times, and put reinforced wire mesh over all the attic vents where they get in. They will actually bend the metal louvres on the vents to get in.
