Well I'll be darned! anahata.c has a damaged arm and is still making great concise comments on art work! That is a very commendable service and a most impressive achievement! A very cool dedication image you have created! I don't really know what else to say about it other than I like the effect of everything gray except for the character! That is always a nice touch! I do love the car except for the bullet holes! Those must be double eagle tires because they are still inflated! A magnificent image and a fine render, Ute! Most delicious creativity and also I love your rant! Most appropriate observations on us lame human critters!
UteBigSmile
Yes, he does because he is not a wimp, I also sit every day my fat butt flat to write comments (even with my operated lumbar discs) and what do I get back: NADA! Will do it in the future like many other artists, only comment on the graphics of those who do the same for me: BASTA! Thank you for liking my RANTS, not many read them!

Wow! Great lighting! I can see all of the image but have the very strong sense of being after dark. I have a terrible time when I am lighting dark scenes. That all of it is monochrome except the central character is interesting. Are you implying that the character in color is perhaps separated from the rest of reality? It crossed my mind that he is the victim of a gangland hit... the driver of the bullet riddled car. Now, he's a ghost? Anyway, even if I don't quite know the story you're telling the image is compelling! Nice work, my dear!

Marvellous!

The lighting in this composition is sublime. Love the cat!!! What a delightful and charming city scene. I hear Harlem club jazz coming from up the street.

I like the imagine and after reading Molly’s comments I now also wonder if the man is the ghost of the driver. Using the color on just the man gave it a nice pop.

very nice scene and render

Beautiful work! I am never to busy or in a hurry to give you a like and a favorite plus 5 stars! I do it with pleasure! Your work is deserving of both Ute! :-)

I thank you for your comment, especially since most artists do not have the time or no desire to read what I write! As for these tiresome art charts is cheated here that even the railroad tracks bend, how this is handled I do not know yet, but I'll get it out yet, I'm now give a damn, because I know what I can still with my almost 75 years and what not. Unfortunately, it is so that many artists avoid me since September 2020, why is no longer a mystery to me and I can well think which lie baron is behind it, he/she should continue to suffocate in his/her lies.

I like the very limited use of color in this. It's nicely done.

The atmosphere of this is excellent, like a classic Noir movie scene. The choice of colour adds to the feel, and the cat is a nice touch

Thank you dear Joe, your comments are always welcome!

Un beau travail sur ce mix noir et blanc et couleur

(forgive me for not seeing this until now, I wasn't doing too well on sunday...) Thank you so much for this, Ute. It's a terrific image---I love when you create 20's and 30's images, with those classy spectator shoes and great bow tie and vest and hat, and that gangster car---this has to be in Chicago!---and the ominous cat, plus all that great film-noir lighting---love it! I love when you do 30s urban scenes. Great light too---some of your fans talk about your use of light in dark scenes: Your one of a handful who do that so well. Love this image. Love that bullet-ridden car and that cool-as-a-cucumber guy with the "daily pixel". This could be just west of the Loop, in 1935. Terrific.
Thank you for your very kind comments, Ute. Remember I was a writer before I was an artist, and that makes it easier for me to write lonnnnnng comments. (Most artists aren't writers---though some are terrific with words. But it's not as natural for many to write lengthy comments. For me, it's fairly natural...and your art has a lot to do with that too. See my dedi---I finally put it up after 2 months!) I deeply appreciate your thoughts, and they came on a perfect day. I'll get back for more, in the coming days. But thank you so much, Ute! Take care, and keep getting better w/ each day...mark

Good evening Mark, your huge comment and your compliments went down like honey and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I haven't been doing so well for a few days either, so we better take more care of ourselves!

Thank you very much, have a nice evening my friend!

This is just awesome, Ute! I saw it mentioned earlier by someone, but I love how you did the scene in monochrome with the character being the only item with color. Very effective and artistic - it draws the eye right to him.
This is a wonderful dedication to a brilliant writer and artist - and a hellofa great guy! Mark's comments always just blow me away. He sees stuff in my art that I don't even see! LOL He's amazing! And so are you, dear Ute! You'll never get one of those one-word comments from me. And those like and fave buttons get smashed as well!
Stay safe and I hope you're feeling better!
UteBigSmile
You are right about everything you say, Rod, and the first of these stupid art charts can hit each other's heads, because if you are at number 1, 2, 3 or 4, that doesn't mean that they are the best Artists!

So much lovely and fun detail to take in. What is funny is that this morning, my car had these wee kitty paw prints across the hood of it. At least the little kitty didn't scratch "Wash me" into the dust on my hood.
