Description

Sorry, not much of a back story here. I just wanted to finally make an image with my version of Lanna (DAZ - G8F). I created the character (Lanna with several additional morphs) several months ago, but never really had the time or the muse to make an image with her. She is a bit more of a stylized character than realistic (smooth idealized skin texture), which opens up a lot more options for clothing. I also really wanted to use the head dress/crown I got during the PC sale (Elaborate Jewelry Vol 3 from DAZ), and thought she might be the perfect character for it. One thing lead to another, and after a few hours of trying different combinations I found one I really liked. I no-doubt should have spent more time setting up a story for the image to make it more appealing, but I'm also trying to carve out a bit of time to make images for a couple of contests. Even with the the lack of a real story, I really like the colors and the image. So I thought I'd share it rather than just let it sit on my hard drive. Hopefully a few other people like it as well. Set up and rendered in DAZ Studio Pro 4.15.0.14 Beta, and rendered using Iray. The lighting is and HDRI with one spot light (set to a tall rectangular shape to her her left). DOF was used on the camera to help set her apart from the background. Some minor shader tweaks on the outfit, and a few mods to the head piece and the hair with Mesh Grabber to make everything fit/look right. I also used a cube privative rescaled to a long box and parented to her left leg to keep the left side of her dress from wrapping around her leg during simulation. Hope you enjoy the image. Wow ! I wish I was the prince...a very classy and beautiful image. Thanks much for the tips about using a primitive during simulation, I'll try this asap.
