For Ute (UteBigSmile) and Rene (renecyberdoc):
Ute's art:
I'm constantly amazed at Ute's art: She evokes everything from joy to the beauty of youth and old age, from loss to great love, from idyllic country scenes to dark urban scenes, from beautiful quaint European villages to glittering modern cities. She creates young lovers and old lovers and fairy tale figures and people seeking love or peace or a safer planet...not to mention her "Gatsby" scenes, with spectator shoes and cloches and 30's limousines and so on (love 'm)...
But then---out of nowhere---she turns "avant garde" on us, and makes designs right out of New York in the 90s, or London and Paris of the present: I love it all: She's a highly intuitive, inventive and passionate artist.
(I've only seen Rene's work recently, but I'm very impressed with his serious as well as playful characters, his nudges and critiques of history, his futuristic scenes, his story-telling, and his sharp sense of humor. I have to learn more of his work...but I studied his gallery for this dedi.)
Their anniversary:
Ute has told us, several times, how Rene helped her through her terrible bouts of illness, including her procedures, operations, and constant pain. He's lifted her spirits, helped her survive many months of struggle, and been a rampart---a tower of caring and strength through it all. (And it goes both ways, from what I've read.) They've also shared deep losses of loved ones. Truly, to love each other through all that---and for 35 years---is precious, especially in an age when so much hell is happening on earth. May their love be a beacon to all.
For my images, I picked 3 of my fav streets in Chicago, just a few blocks from home. I've manipulated them to make them "glow". (No, Chicago isn't this red. I wish it were.) The photo of Ute and Rene---bottom, center---is from Ute's gallery. (I stole it! I didn't think you'd mind, Ute, as long as it was for a dedi.) There were people in the background, but I had to remove them: Apologies to your friends and family...
Anyway, happy anniversary, you two! And many, many more in the greatest health! May your devotion and love be an inspiration to everyone. With love, hugs, and light to you both, for now and forever, Mark
(I'll return to comments this week...I had to take a few days for my arm...)

A wonderful dedication! These 3 photos are a nice look into Chicago sidewalks. The fancy iron fences, buildings so close to the road, and tree-lined streets are so pretty and so different from where I live. Ute and Rene are a fabulous couple and I wish them health and happiness and many more years together.

Well, I thought it would be something really special.... And..... It's WAAAAAYYYY beyond that! These Chi-town images are so gorgeous - they need to be in one of Chicago's fine art museums. They make me want to pack up and move there... They are all wonderful, but that middle one just knocks my socks off! Now I have to go around barefoot all night. Thanks for that, Mark! 🤣
I truly believe that some folks are just meant to be with each other. Call it Devine intervention, call it chance, call it magic, call it The Force, call it whatever you want. Sometimes 2 people are just drawn to each other like a steel ball bearing to a magnet. It was that way with Jo and me, and it was that way for Ute and Rene. There's no real way to explain how it happens - it just does.
Congratulations to Ute and Rene, long-time friends here. May they have many more years together, and may they both find relief from the pain they have dealt with for far too long.

Great work here, Mark, just oozing with deep color and reds, another one of your famous Chicago and immediate area masterpieces. Sorry about your arm, which must be a real refuse-to-heal problem. Having been away from Renderosity, I never heard of Ute and Rene, or seen their work, but congratulations anyway.
