Thanks for dropping by and for your greatly appreciated comments. Looks like we are once again dealing with another Covid mess, but this time around the virus is far more dangerous...so, please wear a mask, and if not yet vaccinated (not vaccinated? you're kidding, right?) get that jab ASAP.

Indeed.... I've found that as the artist, you lay down a foundation - like building a house, and you're the masonry contractor. Then the art takes over (like the construction contractor) and off it goes. And there you have it! And you built a beauty here, Barb. I love it!
We got our shots during the first wave here in the Kansas City area at Arrowhead Stadium. You drove through the parking lot, and got your FREE vaxxies while sitting in your car. No muss, no fuss, and NO reactions. I don't understand these $#^%^&*-ing idiots that won't go get a little shot that might well SAVE THIER LIVES. Must be listening to butt-wipes like Tucker Carlson...
I still wear the mask when I go inside a public place like Lowes, Sam's or the grocery store. Missouri is a hotspot right now with the Delta variant, and I am taking ZERO chances.

you do so many exotic and opulent portraits, and this is yet another...I love the blues and greens---she has greens in her face, chest, arms (and a luminous green too). And the monster, I assume, is that creature on top, although those lights coud be attatched to some beast, or maybe even that thing swimming on the bottom is a sea monster. She doesn't seem too concerned, in any case---she seems totally self-sufficient with her powers. Liminous image, with pink lights as contrast with all your blues and greens. Feels very underwater...I love it.
(I was told the male counterpart of 'mermaid' is 'merman'...and I can't help it, but everytime I think of "merman" I think of Ethel Merman, and I immediately picture that famous blasting voice "there's NO business like SHOW business like NO business I know..." Not what people have in mind with sea creatures! I'd pay to see her burst out in song, underwater...the fish would be popping out, jumping, dancing...)
