Description
Hailey is playing the part of Penelope the maid and Aram a detective disguised as a chauffeur. This is a comedy of course.
Clarence asks, “Penelope my love, will you consent to be my wife so I can take you away from this servile occupation?”
Penelope answers, “No I think not, Clarence, you are just a chauffeur from out in the garage while I am the maid of the household!”
The stage manager says, “That will be fine, you can go and get dressed for the first act.”
