Description
Shams al Nahar (Literally "the Sun of the Day" in Arabic), was the beautiful concubine of Caliph Haroun el Rashid and one of the main protagonists of the love story recounted by Shahrazad between night 153 and 169 of the 1001 Nights "The Lovesickness of ‘Ali Ibn Bakkar and Shams Al-Nahar".

Sunny day and she’s stuck inside awaiting the whim of her master. I always wonder, if given the choice, the harem would escape and run through the fields barefooted. That said, this is done perfectly...just perfectly.

Summer in that part of the world is 100 degrees in the shade and the ground is like a hotplate , so a shady seraglio might be preferable!
