Description
"So what do you think,? Beta asked her team mates.
"Eh... Brief. Very brief." The security officer swallowed and added, "But you look quite good. Much like pictures of native recreation on the shoreline I've seen in our reconnaissance data."
"I suppose you'll blend in if you happen upon natives," Prime allowed. "It seems rather vulnerable, though."
"Of course, I concur with Prime," Alpha added. "Our utility suits act as armor and have other functions. It's risky to abandon that."
"I've considered that," Beta said reassuringly. "The wrist device cunningly resembles a common ornamental mechanism worn by the natives called a 'watch' for some reason. This one contains the circuitry for an energy shield only I can activate with my implants if needed. The edged weapon strapped to my leg also contains a neuroleptic paralyzer which again, can only be activated by my implants. Finally, the face covering contains a gill filter for breathing submerged and in environments with toxic gas. I feel I shall be quite safe. Beside all this, I intend to stay close enough that we can communicate by implant neural net if needed and you can monitor my life signs and well-being easily."
"Although I have a bad feeling, I can't honestly raise an objective reason to prohibit your proposed scouting foray. Alpha, you may go ahead and flood the airlock and equalize ship atmospheric pressure to keep us dry." To Beta she said, "Good fortune, my friend. Try not to make me regret this."
"You won't, I promise!" Beta replied.
Molly's art notes: A little retro sci fi for a change! Set up and rendered in Poser 12.0.500 using the Superfly Cycles 2 rendering engine and then tweaked a bit in Photoshop (mainly to add a subtle vignette). The ship is Cybertenko's discplane with a few material tweaks (I didn't like the glass in the dome). The discplane's location is in a Lake by 2nd World. The characters are all DAZ generation 3 dollies: V3 improved by Blackhearted's GND 2 morphs and textures, SP improved by Blackhearted's Irina 2 morphs and textures and Aiko 3 improved with some stuff from DAZ. All of the character textures were optimized for Superfly with Snarlygribbly's EZSkin 3 (there is a new version, " 'beta', use with caution" for Poser 12). The uniforms come from an unknown source and are called male comic overlays. There's a lot in the Poser library from more than 15 years ago that my husband got from I don't know where.

They are likely on Earth. It's hard to follow stories on this platform unless you are posting nothing else. I have trouble copying links into these comments, but the story begins here: The Envoys in orbit
