Description
Members of the backstage crew are called in to a local police office to ‘assist the police in their investigations’. Detective Aram who is also a cast member in the play is conducting the interview. All that has been announced officially is that Rex Grantham, the director of the play, was found dead backstage under suspicious circumstances. The theater company has said that opening night and future performances have been suspended until further notice.
Susan the stage electrician is surprisingly good looking in a denim jumpsuit. She is engaged and anxious to help hoping to help solve the mystery so the show can go on. It is always very busy during act three with lots of entrances and exits. Susan says Emily the prop girl should get credit as stage manager because she is the one who preps the actors before their entrances and Susan helps out when she can. It is really fun. There are no light cues in the script, but she tweaks the lights to go with the mood.
Susan says that something strange happened at the beginning of the act. She thought she heard voices coming from stage right on her intercom headset, than it cut off. It came back on maybe ten or fifteen minutes later and it sounded like Nick, if that was who was wearing it, was breathing hard like he had been running. But the quality is rather poor, there was lots of noise from the stage and she couldn’t be sure. It might have been her imagination.
It was frustrating working with Rex who over-directs (or is that over-directed.) But she has no idea why anybody would want to kill him. But his being so nosy, he could have got himself into some kind of situation, like a drug deal maybe, but she has no notion of anything like that going on backstage. (Susan is a very clever girl. She might be on to something.)

Good-looker (not that that has anything to do with the case) and may be covering-up for someone?

Great outfit, pose and expression. I wonder if that’s a clue.

Yes, is she a skillful liar or an observant and cooperative witness?

This lady makes me think of a man killer! Even if she isn't the one! She just has a look about her I don't trust! Excellent work on this character!
