Magnificent macro shot.
These critters are shaving the crops here without a mere bit of compassion.
We have drought after drought , many farmers losing money and some their farms.
A sad situation for all of us.

I assme this is a grasshopper. (If it's a locust, it doesn't look like the ones I saw as a child.) In any case, you caught the details with real precision. I think all insects look prehistoric-----well they are. (The lowly cockroach is one of the oldest creatures on earth, and they can live through just about anything.) You must've been on your belly to capture this! (If I did that, it would take me 10 minutes to get up again...) A really fine, detailed capture.
