Iris has now moved on to High School and attending her first dance. (purple fairy costume)

Forgot to mention: I've uploaded this image before but I wasn't happy with it. This new one was done with Superfly. The smoke was done in photoshop. Most of the scene included props purchased on Renderosity. The robot suit is just primitives parented to body parts, with some texture dials etc. pasted on. The smoke machines are repurposed props with a cylinder primitive added. For those of you who are interested in comparing Firefly to Superfly there is a stark difference, but sometimes Firefly works just fine. I am a complete amateur who doesn't know what he's doing, so please ask the helpful gurus in here for help if you get stuck.

Fine crowd scene. My suggestion is to chose a tool and devote enough time to learn how to use it well. For images like this one hard to see much advantage for Superfly. Firefly offers a bit more for artistic maniipulatiioin and less for realism.

The only difference I see is with people. Superfly renders people almost realistically, firefly not so much in my experience. Firefly is much faster on my machine and I do use it for complicated scenes. Thanks!
